Reel Justice is our monthly film night where stories spark conversation and action. Each month, we gather to watch a powerful documentary or film that shines a light on human rights, justice, and collective resilience — connecting struggles across the globe with what’s happening here in our own communities.
This month we are screening I Am Greta — a powerful documentary that follows Greta Thunberg’s rise from a lone school strike outside Sweden’s parliament to becoming a global symbol of environmental justice.
Right now, Greta is on board the Global Sumud Flotilla, a mission carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza and challenging the blockade. The flotilla has already faced suspected drone attacks — including one on the “Family Boat,” which is carrying Greta.
This makes this film feel even more urgent as Greta’s presence in the flotilla connects the threads of climate justice, freedom of movement, humanitarian solidarity, and resistance to oppression.
Tickets are $10 or free if cost is a barrier (no questions asked).
After the screening, we hold space for reflection and discussion, with time to share ideas, feelings, and next steps.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve joined us before, Reel Justice is about more than watching a film — it’s about building connection, hope, and solidarity.
Everyone is welcome. 💛
